Steve Titus, Strategist for VALCORT Strategic Consulting Group, has over 15 years of experience in driving record levels of sales, profits and market share growth in the retail industry. Titus is a highly accomplished multi-unit retail manager with a consistent track record of driving sales and profits to new heights.
Practiced in leading startup and mature organizations. Titus has directed the launch of Sears dealer stores and managed 875 mall-based stores. He is skilled in all aspects of dealer relations, including contracts and is fully familiar with franchise business models and state-by-state regulations.
Titus's success rate is seen through his impressive past track record. He led the Sears Holding Company's EBITDA performance in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. He boosted the ratio of service contracts from 2.9 percent to 5.6 percent in three years time. Also with Sears, Titus helped developed and launch the Sears Dealer Stores concept with initial target of 350 locations over five years: stores were so successful Sears exceeded opening plans and that there were 900 locations in small-towns with another 500 planned.
Titus gained market share in home appliances for seven consecutive years and proposed the concept of Sears Home Appliance Showrooms and launched the first store in Houston, TX in May of 2007. His success has led to 50 current stores with another 300-500 planned due to profitability within the first year.
Titus has a vast knowledge in all facets of store operations including merchandising, sales management, promotional activities, customer service, shrink, inventory and cost controls, which will aid in delivering bottom line results to CTC clients.
Titus holds a dual bachelors degree from University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, in marketing and economics.
